Lewis G. King, M.D. Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery, has practiced in Austin since 1992. He established Capital Cardiothoracic Surgeons, P.A., in March of 2001. His new group will provide comprehensive adult and pediatric cardiothoracic surgical services for Austin and the surrounding area.
Dr. King earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with High Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his Doctorate in Medicine with High Honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. King received advanced training at Boston’s Children’s Hospital, a Harvard affiliate, in Boston, Massachusetts.
His professional memberships include being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, FACS; being a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, FACC; the Society of Thoracic Society; the Aldo Castandea Society; the Travis County Medical Society; the Texas Medical Association; the Texas Transplant Society and the Aust Society. Awards and honors include Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. King frequently volunteers for the American Heart Association. His hobbies include golf and snow skiing.
